For the curious
You don't need to understand this to use Hashed.ink. But if you want to know why a sealed record can be trusted, here it is.
When your agreement is final, Hashed.ink runs the PDF through SHA 256, the same fingerprinting math that secures bank transfers and Bitcoin itself. Out comes a unique 64 character code. Change a single comma in the document and the code comes out completely different.
The fingerprinting happens in your browser. Hashed.ink stores the code, not your document, so the contents stay between you and the person you signed with. Once you have both signed, the code is anchored into a public timestamp record that nobody, including us, can edit or backdate.
A fingerprint cannot be run backward to reveal the document, so your deal stays private. But anyone holding the original file can recompute the code and compare. If it matches the sealed record, the file is the unchanged original. You are not taking Hashed.ink's word for it. You are checking math that anyone can verify, for free, forever.
